Brissy, Brissy, Brissy…

As the events of the last few days have unfolded and our home town has been engulfed, I sit hear in awe, shock, disbelief, horror, tears and hope. The desire to help and my circumstantial inability to do so is agonising, but the way in which all concerned have dealt with this disaster is perhaps my proudest ‘being Australian’ moment.

What an inspiring city and an exceptional community Brisbane will become after an experience such as this!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those effected by the deluge. May you rebuild your homes and lives and may your hearts and spirits soar again….xox

  1. Hi Aaron and Kasey – we met you up at Woodford this year. I just wanted to ‘sing’ out in agreement to your sentiments about “the inspiring city and exceptional community of Brisbane” – we have been very privileged to be able to join with the many many volunteers who were moved to get out and help those who were affected by the flood. This disaster has been the making NOT the breaking of this community. It has been Brisbane’s proudest moment.
